It’s shaping up to be a good week for Mad Men fans. Not only is the nostalgic AMC show celebrating a host of Golden Globe nominations, but Versace just released the advertising campaign for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection, featuring Betty Draper herself (otherwise known as January Jones) as you’ve never seen her before: Naked!
The actress was handpicked to be the next face of the brand by the company’s CEO, Dontella Versace, after attending an event held by Versace at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design earlier this year.
“I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde, and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the 21st century,” Donatella said of the choice. “She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too.”
The photos were snapped in London earlier this year by Peruvian-born fashion photographer Mario Testino who has been in the headlines this week for the engagement portraits he took of British royals Prince William and Kate Middleton.
